Habakkuk 2

Then the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."

Yoda

Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 11:15 p.m. – I was in bed praying about the Democratic National Convention plus the dreams I’ve had during that convention, particularly the one about the mob, i.e. organized crime and its role in the Democratic National Convention’s decisions (See: The Lord’s Chosen Ally).

Then I had A VISION: I saw one of the characters from the Movie series, Star Wars. I inquired of the Lord if there was more, but that was it. END So I got up to look it up, since I am not that familiar with the movie:

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoda
Star
Wars character: Yoda
Position: Jedi Master, Jedi Council Member, Jedi High
General, Grand Master of the Jedi Order
Home world: Unknown
Species:
Unknown
Gender: Male
Affiliation: Jedi Order, Galactic Republic

Yoda is a fictional character from the Star Wars universe, who
appears in all of the franchise's films except for Star Wars Episode IV: A New
Hope… Yoda first appears in the saga in The Empire Strikes Back as a Jedi
Master, and trains Luke Skywalker in the ways of the Jedi. In the prequel
trilogy, he serves as Grand Master of the Jedi Order… Yoda is portrayed as a
wise and powerful Jedi Master in the Star Wars universe... Yoda's race has never
been stated in any media, canonical or otherwise, and he is merely stated to be
of a "mysterious species" by the Star Wars Databank. His race has been called a
"tridactyl species" but this simply means that they have three fingers. It is
believed [who?] that the character was inspired by Tom Yoda, chairman of the
Tokyo International Film Festival...

The Phantom Menace
In the
films' timeline, Yoda first appears in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace,
wherin Qui-Gon (Liam Neeson) brings the young Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd) to
the Jedi Council. Qui-Gon claims that the boy is the "Chosen One" who will bring
balance to the Force, and requests to train him once Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) has
completed the trials necessary to become a Jedi Knight. Yoda senses great fear
in the boy, and tells him "Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to
anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering." Yoda plays a key role in
that body's initial decision to deny the request; he believes that Anakin is
clearly affected by his years as a slave, and that he still clings too tightly
to the memory of his mother to be trained safely. Yoda believes Anakin's future
is clouded.

After Qui-Gon's death at the hands of Darth Maul (Ray
Park), however, the Jedi Council rescinds their previous decision, despite
Yoda's misgivings… End

My Thoughts: What struck me about this description of Yoda and the Star Wars series is how much it parallels what just went on this week in the Democratic National Convention. In this case, Bill Clinton would be a type of Yoda (a former US President) in that he did not think that Barack Obama was qualified or had what it took to be president of the United States but the “Jedi Council” decided on Obama despite Bill’s (and Hillary’s) misgivings.

Another application I see here is that this is about some type of political order (the Jedi order), perhaps like the Democratic or the Republican parties or perhaps Washington and Congress and that the Grand Master would represent the US President and that the Jedi Council would symbolize the US congress. Or, this could be representing an order that is even higher than either of the political parties or Washington or Congress and that our government, in some way, answers to that order. In many ways, it reminds me of the Freemasons. Many articles on the Internet suggest that the Freemasons have links to organized crime, i.e. the mob.

Also, the boy, Anakin, is considered the “chosen one” who will bring balance to the Force, maybe like Barack Obama. Anakin, nonetheless, eventually becomes Darth Vader:

Darth Vader is a fictional character in George Lucas' science fiction saga Star
Wars and is the primary antagonist in the original movie trilogy. The character
is depicted as a formidable Dark Lord of the Sith and the brutal head enforcer
of the Galactic Empire's rule across the galaxy. He serves as the Sith
apprentice of Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), using the dark side of the
Force to mercilessly pursue the Jedi and the Rebel Alliance to the ends of the
galaxy. The prequel trilogy recounts the heroic rise and tragic fall of Darth
Vader's former self, Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd, Hayden Christensen). Darth
Vader is one of the most iconic villains in film history and was ranked third on
American Film Institute's 100 Heroes and Villains list… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darth_Vader

This whole election process is about putting into office the “chosen one” of the people. We also know that God places all governing authorities, whether good or bad, in place in order to accomplish his ultimate purposes for his people.

Isaiah 48:14-15:

"Come together, all of you, and listen:
Which of the idols has foretold these things?
The LORD's chosen ally
will carry out his purpose against Babylon;
his arm will be against the Babylonians.

15 I, even I, have spoken;
yes, I have called him.
I will bring him,
and he will succeed in his mission.

So, we need to be in much prayer for our country here in the USA, for the American people, for our leaders and for the church in America:

Let Us Pray / Steven Curtis Chapman
Let us pray, let us pray everywhere in every way
Every moment of the day, it is the right time
Let us pray without end and when we finish start again
Like breathing out and breathing in, let us pray
