Habakkuk 2

Then the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."

The King of Babylon

Wednesday, September 24, 2008, 8:30 a.m. – I woke from THIS DREAM:

The kids were packing up clothing in some type of wire rack foldable suitcase that, when unfolded, served as a hanger for multiple clothing items. I started to put some of my stuff in there, but then changed my mind and removed the items so that they were accessible to me. The kids had put several dresses in there but they were all bunched up and were getting wrinkled, particularly one dress that had a pleated skirt. So, I removed those, also, so that they were accessible, and I divided them among the girls.

Then, we were in a house and our youngest son’s (our military son) room was to the left off of the living room. When you walked in his room, it was a small room with just one single bed and no other furniture. There was some kind of bulletin board or something across the wall to the right but the room looked empty. On the door and a place on the wall were some spots where it looked as though he had kicked them or hit them with something in anger and the wood and plaster were splintered out.

On the other side of the living room was a hall that looked similar to my son’s bedroom, and it also had some kind of bulletin board across the wall with some educational material on it. Someone decided to go to this hall to read what was on the wall but ended up in my son’s room, instead. I mentioned how I often got lost as both rooms looked similar, but that the hall she wanted was on the right.

Then, I decided that on pay day I was going to get some used furniture for my son’s room from like a Salvation Army or something like that. I regretted that we had given away so much furniture during our moves in the past years or I would have furniture to fill his room, but then I took back that thought and realized that it was better to give it away to people who could use it and to not hold on to it.

Oh, then I went back to my son’s room to assess the situation and then when I walked in the room, it was completely empty, there was a fireplace to my right, and there were wooden sliding doors to my left that didn’t work very well or were partially broken that opened to his bedroom, and this room that had been his bedroom was now some kind of sitting room. So, I opened the wooden doors only to see a room full of furniture with two sofas (one was a sectional sofa), a chair, and what looked like a full-size bed, so I decided I would move the sectional sofa and a chair into his sitting area facing the fireplace.

Ok, now I was at some kind of public location. I went inside a building where there was much electronic and/or sound equipment and there was a ladder to go up on top of one of the pieces of equipment (might have been a gigantic speaker) and I was going to go up there, but then someone came out and told me they were moving to another location. It felt like I knew these people and that I had been there before.

Then I went outside and Bill Clinton was out there. I had on sunglasses, but only on my left eye. The sunglasses were turned sideways, so I removed them and then I saw Bill Clinton to my left. He was connected somehow with these people in the building to my right who were moving equipment and he asked me if they found something he had lost in there or that he felt someone had taken from him. END

Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. I read Jeremiah 32:

Jeremiah Buys a Field
1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar. 2 The army of the king of Babylon was then besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was confined in the courtyard of the guard in the royal palace of Judah.
3 Now Zedekiah king of Judah had imprisoned him there, saying, "Why do you prophesy as you do? You say, 'This is what the LORD says: I am about to hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will capture it. 4 Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape out of the hands of the Babylonians but will certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes. 5 He will take Zedekiah to Babylon, where he will remain until I deal with him, declares the LORD. If you fight against the Babylonians, you will not succeed.' "

6 Jeremiah said, "The word of the LORD came to me: 7 Hanamel son of Shallum your uncle is going to come to you and say, 'Buy my field at Anathoth, because as nearest relative it is your right and duty to buy it.'

8 "Then, just as the LORD had said, my cousin Hanamel came to me in the courtyard of the guard and said, 'Buy my field at Anathoth in the territory of Benjamin. Since it is your right to redeem it and possess it, buy it for yourself.'
"I knew that this was the word of the LORD; 9 so I bought the field at Anathoth from my cousin Hanamel and weighed out for him seventeen shekels of silver. 10 I signed and sealed the deed, had it witnessed, and weighed out the silver on the scales. 11 I took the deed of purchase—the sealed copy containing the terms and conditions, as well as the unsealed copy- 12 and I gave this deed to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of my cousin Hanamel and of the witnesses who had signed the deed and of all the Jews sitting in the courtyard of the guard.

13 "In their presence I gave Baruch these instructions: 14 'This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Take these documents, both the sealed and unsealed copies of the deed of purchase, and put them in a clay jar so they will last a long time. 15 For this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Houses, fields and vineyards will again be bought in this land.'

16 "After I had given the deed of purchase to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD :

17 "Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. 18 You show love to thousands but bring the punishment for the fathers' sins into the laps of their children after them. O great and powerful God, whose name is the LORD Almighty, 19 great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to all the ways of men; you reward everyone according to his conduct and as his deeds deserve. 20 You performed miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt and have continued them to this day, both in Israel and among all mankind, and have gained the renown that is still yours. 21 You brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror. 22 You gave them this land you had sworn to give their forefathers, a land flowing with milk and honey. 23 They came in and took possession of it, but they did not obey you or follow your law; they did not do what you commanded them to do. So you brought all this disaster upon them.

24 "See how the siege ramps are built up to take the city. Because of the sword, famine and plague, the city will be handed over to the Babylonians who are attacking it. What you said has happened, as you now see. 25 And though the city will be handed over to the Babylonians, you, O Sovereign LORD, say to me, 'Buy the field with silver and have the transaction witnessed.' "

26 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: 27 "I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? 28 Therefore, this is what the LORD says: I am about to hand this city over to the Babylonians and to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who will capture it. 29 The Babylonians who are attacking this city will come in and set it on fire; they will burn it down, along with the houses where the people provoked me to anger by burning incense on the roofs to Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods.

30 "The people of Israel and Judah have done nothing but evil in my sight from their youth; indeed, the people of Israel have done nothing but provoke me with what their hands have made, declares the LORD. 31 From the day it was built until now, this city has so aroused my anger and wrath that I must remove it from my sight. 32 The people of Israel and Judah have provoked me by all the evil they have done—they, their kings and officials, their priests and prophets, the men of Judah and the people of Jerusalem. 33 They turned their backs to me and not their faces; though I taught them again and again, they would not listen or respond to discipline. 34 They set up their abominable idols in the house that bears my Name and defiled it. 35 They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molech, though I never commanded, nor did it enter my mind, that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.

36 "You are saying about this city, 'By the sword, famine and plague it will be handed over to the king of Babylon'; but this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 37 I will surely gather them from all the lands where I banish them in my furious anger and great wrath; I will bring them back to this place and let them live in safety. 38 They will be my people, and I will be their God. 39 I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after them. 40 I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me. 41 I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.

42 "This is what the LORD says: As I have brought all this great calamity on this people, so I will give them all the prosperity I have promised them. 43 Once more fields will be bought in this land of which you say, 'It is a desolate waste, without men or animals, for it has been handed over to the Babylonians.' 44 Fields will be bought for silver, and deeds will be signed, sealed and witnessed in the territory of Benjamin, in the villages around Jerusalem, in the towns of Judah and in the towns of the hill country, of the western foothills and of the Negev, because I will restore their fortunes, declares the LORD."

My Understanding: My youngest son has frequently represented the US government and/or military or Barack Obama in my dreams. I have a sense that he is representing Barack Obama in this dream and that the dream is related to this news article in today’s news:

Wow! This is interesting. Headline news tells of how John McCain is going to suspend his campaign and return to Washington to deal with the nation’s present financial crisis, but not until after addressing former President Bill Clinton's Global Initiative session on Thursday. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D93D8TDO0&show_article=1

I have bolded two key passages of scripture above that I believe are related to Bill Clinton in this dream. One is v. 19 where it states that God’s eyes are open to all the ways of men and he rewards everyone according to his conduct and as his deeds deserve. And, two is v. 4 where it states that Zedekiah would be handed over to the king of Babylon (Clinton?) and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes (just like I saw Bill Clinton in my dream).

I had asked the Lord in prayer last night that if I was blinded to anything that he would open my eyes to see, and then I had this dream.

When I read the part of the scripture about Jeremiah being asked to buy a plot of land even though they were in captivity, it reminded me first of all of how I had inquired of the Lord as to why he led my husband and I to purchase a house again after we had been debt free and were living in an apartment for two years. His answer was the same as it was to Jeremiah: It was a sign from God that houses, fields and vineyards will again be bought in this land. But first there must be a period of captivity because the people have not obeyed God and they have followed idols.

I also thought about what I read in the news about Warren Buffett investing $5 Billion in Goldman Sachs. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080924/D93D71R80.html

As far as what Bill Clinton may have lost, the only thing that came to my mind was a return trip to the White House via Hillary’s trip to the presidency. He also feels it was taken from him (and Hillary).

So, Bill Clinton and John McCain are both postponing campaigning at the same time. Hmmmm…
