Habakkuk 2

Then the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."

The Plug Was Pulled

Thursday, September 25, 2008, 11:21 a.m.

I was praying when I had THIS VISION: I saw a very large person. I saw only the back of the person as he or she was walking towards a doorway. Then, right after this person passed, I saw a very large electrical outlet and a power chord with a plug attached to the end of it that was plugged into the outlet. Then, this large person was with a group of people walking through a doorway into a room and then the plug was pulled out of the outlet. Following that I heard the names Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Ben Bernanke. END

Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. I read Jeremiah 34:8-22:

Freedom for Slaves
8 The word came to Jeremiah from the LORD after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people in Jerusalem to proclaim freedom for the slaves. 9 Everyone was to free his Hebrew slaves, both male and female; no one was to hold a fellow Jew in bondage. 10 So all the officials and people who entered into this covenant agreed that they would free their male and female slaves and no longer hold them in bondage. They agreed, and set them free. 11 But afterward they changed their minds and took back the slaves they had freed and enslaved them again.

12 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: 13 "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I made a covenant with your forefathers when I brought them out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. I said, 14 'Every seventh year each of you must free any fellow Hebrew who has sold himself to you. After he has served you six years, you must let him go free.' Your fathers, however, did not listen to me or pay attention to me. 15 Recently you repented and did what is right in my sight: Each of you proclaimed freedom to his countrymen. You even made a covenant before me in the house that bears my Name. 16 But now you have turned around and profaned my name; each of you has taken back the male and female slaves you had set free to go where they wished. You have forced them to become your slaves again.

17 "Therefore, this is what the LORD says: You have not obeyed me; you have not proclaimed freedom for your fellow countrymen. So I now proclaim 'freedom' for you, declares the LORD -'freedom' to fall by the sword, plague and famine. I will make you abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth. 18 The men who have violated my covenant and have not fulfilled the terms of the covenant they made before me, I will treat like the calf they cut in two and then walked between its pieces. 19 The leaders of Judah and Jerusalem, the court officials, the priests and all the people of the land who walked between the pieces of the calf, 20 I will hand over to their enemies who seek their lives. Their dead bodies will become food for the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth.

21 "I will hand Zedekiah king of Judah and his officials over to their enemies who seek their lives, to the army of the king of Babylon, which has withdrawn from you. 22 I am going to give the order, declares the LORD, and I will bring them back to this city. They will fight against it, take it and burn it down. And I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there."

Where Are Bush, Reid and Pelosi?
Filed under: General News — Michael van der Galien, Editor-in-Chief on September 25, 2008 @ 1:47 pm CEST

David Broder notes that something interesting is happening; it seems that George W. Bush, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are not publicly involved - or not the leaders that is - of the bipartisan attempt to save the U.S. economy.

Let’s start with Bush: he’s taking the backseat. The plan is not considered ‘his,’ it is considered the plan of Ben Bernanke and Hank Paulson. These two are also the ones who try to sell it to Congress, not Bush. He speaks every now and then about the economy but he’s not present as one would expect from a president.

Then Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi is the Democratic Party’s leader in the House of Representatives, Reid in the Senate. They are their party’s true leaders. But they too are not visibly working on the economic rescue plan. Instead, it is Senator Chris Dodd and Representative Barney Frank who lead the Democratic Party on this issue… http://poligazette.com/2008/09/25/where-are-bush-reid-and-pelosi/

Then, there’s this news:
Bush to Meet With Presidential Candidates, Lawmakers on Bailout Plan: September 25, 2008:

WASHINGTON — President George W. Bush summoned Barack Obama, John McCain and legislative leaders to an extraordinary White House summit, warning Americans and Congress on Wednesday night that failing to act on a $700 billion financial industry bailout could lead to "a long and painful recession."

Earlier, Bush bowed to Democratic demands to limit the pay of executives whose tottering companies would be rescued, and appeared to be softening his resistance to Democrats' demand that the eye-popping cost be phased in rather than approved all at once… http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,427642,00.html

Then this was www.excite.com Daily Bible Verse for today: Luke 8:17 (NIV):
For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.

My Understanding: Our government leaders took an oath of office to protect the freedoms of the people of our nation and now they are going back on their oaths of office and are enslaving the American people once again. So, God is setting a day of judgment for them.

I will let the scripture speak for itself on this issue. The Lord has used this exact passage of scripture in this same context - of oaths of office to protect freedoms but going back on their oaths and enslaving the people again - with our government leaders every time I have read it in the past couple of years, so this is not new news.

I pray that each one of us would go before the Lord in prayer concerning this financial crisis in our nation, concerning our leaders, and concerning the future of America and inquire of the Lord as to how he views all of this and how we should pray for our leaders and nation and how we should act as responsible citizens.
