What If?

What if time as we know it

Is not on our side?

What if soon there will be

Really no place to hide?

What if all that we do

Can be seen by all folks?

What if life on this planet

On us is a joke?

What if we’ve been deceived

By the liars galore?

And the promises given

To us not in store?

What if all who we trusted

Took us for a ride,

While they laughed at us,

Mocked us, because of their pride?

What if we put our trust

In those who will betray?

And betrayal of trust 

Is now without delay?

Will that shake us to bits?

Will we crash in despair?

Will we be caught off guard?

Will we think it unfair?

Know then what God’s word says.

There’s a time yet to come

When an evil empire

Will consume everyone.

Put your trust now in God,

Put your trust NOT in man,

Die with Christ to your sin,

And now follow God’s plan.
