Thus says the Lord of hosts,
“Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you.
They are leading you into futility;
They speak a vision of their own imagination,
Not from the mouth of the Lord.
“They keep saying to those who despise Me,
‘The Lord has said, “You will have peace”’;
And as for everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart,
They say, ‘Calamity will not come upon you.’
“But who has stood in the council of the Lord,
That he should see and hear His word?
Who has given heed to His word and listened?
“Behold, the storm of the Lord has gone forth in wrath,
Even a whirling tempest;
It will swirl down on the head of the wicked.
“The anger of the Lord will not turn back
Until He has performed and carried out the purposes of His heart;
In the last days you will clearly understand it.
“I did not send these prophets,
But they ran.
I did not speak to them,
But they prophesied.
“But if they had stood in My council,
Then they would have announced My words to My people,
And would have turned them back from their evil way
And from the evil of their deeds.” (Jeremiah 23:16-22 NASB1995)
The Situation
Today there are many preachers, pastors, priests, and
evangelists, and the like, who are teaching the people lies, and not the truth.
Most of them, I believe, know the truth of what God’s word teaches, but they
have chosen to take “the path of least resistance,” and they have bowed to the
idea of diluting the gospel message to make it more attractive and acceptable
to the ungodly of the world, and to the flesh of humans. So they are leading
the masses astray by their lies, promising them heaven, while leading to hell.
Thus, the land is full of adulterers. Their course is evil,
and their might is not right. Many prophets, priests, and pastors are polluted.
Within the gatherings of the church is found their wickedness. Some of the
prophets, priests, and pastors are teaching what is of false gods, the gods of
this world, and they are leading the people astray by their lies and by their
deceptions, to what is false. The committing of adultery and the walking in
falsehood is commonplace. And the pastors end up strengthening the hands of the
evil doers, so that the sinners do not turn back from their wickedness.
So, the Lord has been calling out to his people (the church),
and to the people of the world, to not listen to the lies and the liars and the
deceivers who willfully speak lies to deceive the people, and who refuse to
speak or to live the truth of what God’s word teaches those who make
professions of faith in Jesus Christ, and those who have not yet believed in
Jesus. And it is the Scriptures, taught in the correct context, Scripture
agreeing with Scripture, which determine truth, not human beings who may be
wrong.
For, yes, there are many prophets, priests, preachers,
teachers, and evangelists, and world leaders, too, who speak from their own
imaginations and not from the truth of the Scriptures, but from what is
contrary to the teachings of the Scriptures. And most all do so deliberately
with the full intent to deceive, because they know better. And the majority of
them appear to be teaching a half-truth (lie) altered gospel which makes no
requirements for death to sin and walks of obedience to our Lord.
So they give people the impression that if they make a
profession of faith in Jesus Christ that they are now “good to go.” Heaven is
secured them for when they die, and all their sins are now forgiven. End of
story. But that is not the gospel message that Jesus and his New Testament
apostles taught. They taught that faith in Jesus, which comes from God, results
in us dying to sin and now walking in obedience to our Lord’s commands, in
practice. But if we do not die to sin and if we do not obey God, we will not
see heaven.
Many of them are also giving the people the false impression
that nothing bad will ever happen to them, and that when things start to get bad
that God is going to rapture them out of this earth so that they will not have
to suffer what the rest of the world is going to have to suffer. But that is
not biblically supported. That is a man-made theory. For Jesus and his New
Testament apostles made it quite clear that suffering is par for the course for
Christians, and that we will be hated, persecuted, and put to death.
And please be aware that a promise of “peace” will involve
compromise of truth and righteousness, and a compromise of our faith and
convictions. For the only way the world is going to be at peace is if we all
unite together and agree together, which will be a forced unity by “the beast”
New World Order. And it is in the works. It is coming. And we will have to make
the choice to go with God and to stand strong in our faith, or to compromise
with the world to make peace with the world, only to lose our lives for
eternity.
And don’t listen to these preachers who are telling you that
you can “believe” in Jesus, have all your sins forgiven, and now heaven is
guaranteed you, but regardless of how you live. For Jesus and his New Testament
apostles taught that we must die to sin and obey God or we will not have
eternal life with God. Hell will be our destiny if sin is still what we
practice. And be prepared that things are going to get really bad on this
earth, and that we will have to suffer, if we hold fast to our faith in Jesus
Christ.

Oh, to Be Like Thee, Blessed Redeemer
Lyrics by Thomas O. Chisholm, 1897
Music by W. J. Kirkpatrick, 1897
Oh,
to be like Thee! blessèd Redeemer,
This
is my constant longing and prayer;
Gladly
I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures,
Jesus,
Thy perfect likeness to wear.
Oh,
to be like Thee! full of compassion,
Loving,
forgiving, tender and kind,
Helping
the helpless, cheering the fainting,
Seeking
the wandering sinner to find.
O
to be like Thee! lowly in spirit,
Holy
and harmless, patient and brave;
Meekly
enduring cruel reproaches,
Willing
to suffer others to save.
O
to be like Thee! while I am pleading,
Pour
out Thy Spirit, fill with Thy love;
Make
me a temple meet for Thy dwelling,
Fit
me for life and Heaven above.
Oh,
to be like Thee! Oh, to be like Thee,
Blessèd
Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come
in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp
Thine own image deep on my heart.
