“Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel,
‘My way is hidden from the Lord,
And the justice due me escapes the notice of my God’?
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable.
He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.
Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.” (Isaiah 40:27-31 NASB1995)
Under the Old Covenant God had with his people Israel, they
were the Jews only. But under the New Covenant God has with his people Israel, we
are both Jew and Gentile by genuine biblical faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
All who refused to believe in Jesus, the Christ, as their Messiah, were cut out
of Israel, but all who are alive today can be grafted into Israel by faith in
Jesus Christ. So the physical nation of Israel is a political nation, not the
Israel of God. God’s holy nation today is all who are of faith in Jesus Christ
as Lord.

Presently, the world about us is in turmoil. Those who say
they are of God are not of God just because they profess to be so. The only way
that any of us are God’s people today is through faith in Jesus Christ. But
this faith comes from God, and it is persuaded of God, and it is gifted to us
by God, and so it is not of our own doing. And this faith will result in us
denying self, dying to sin, and walking in obedience to our Lord’s commands, or
it is not of God. “Christian” is not in words only, but in daily practice, by
God’s power.
Now, as those who are followers of Jesus Christ (biblical
Israel, Christians), who are walking in fellowship with our Lord in doing as he
commands, and in living holy lives, pleasing to God, when we look at all that
is going on in our world presently (or that we are being told is happening),
and we hear of or we witness the chaos that is going on, then because we are
human we may get fearful, and we may feel as though God has forsaken or
forgotten us. But just because the world goes crazy, it does not mean that God
is absent.
But then we need to look at what the Scriptures teach us,
and what Jesus and his New Testament apostles told us regarding these last days
before the return of Christ. We were warned in advance that these times would
come, and that if we follow Jesus with our lives, in obedience, that we will be
hated and persecuted for righteousness’ sake, and that many of us will be put
to death for our testimonies for the Lord Jesus and for his gospel. So God has
not abandoned his people Israel (Jew and Gentile believers in Christ Jesus).
But please let me caution you against believing people just
because they claim to be the Israel of God, or because they claim to be
Christians, or just because they claim that they have our good in mind, or
because of their positions of power and authority in the world. Just because a “king”
says that these other people are the “bad people” who are doing us harm, it
does not mean that the ones they call “bad” are bad. They themselves could be
the evil ones trying to convince us they are “good” and others are “evil.”
So please take all these situations to the Lord in prayer,
and inquire of God as to who is telling the truth and who is lying, and who his
people are under the New Covenant, and who have been cut out of Israel due to
unbelief. For many “Christians” are supporting the enemies of God while they
are turning against those who are of genuine faith in the Lord Jesus who are
serving the Lord with their lives. Or they are supporting the bad people while
they are going against those who are truly not our enemies, if truth be told.
And in all of this that is going on in the world of ours, or
that is being presented to us as what is going on, but lies abound, we are to
put our faith and hope in the Lord Jesus, and in his word, and in what he
already told us is going to take place in these last days. We must pray for
wisdom and discernment to know the truth so that we do not end up believing the
lies. And God will keep us in his care, and he will help us to survive the evil
that is or will soon be upon us, and to remain steadfast in faith and to not
fear.

My Sheep
Based off John 10:1-30 NIV

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love
My sheep hear me.
They know me.
They listen to my
voice and obey.
I call them and lead
them.
They know my voice,
so they follow me.
They will never
follow strangers.
They will run away
from them.
The voice of a
stranger they know not;
They do not follow
him.
So, I tell you the
truth that
I am the gate, so
you enter in.
Whoever does enter
Will find
forgiveness and will be saved.
Nonetheless whoever
enters
Not by the gate;
other way,
He is the thief and
a robber.
Listen not, the
sheep to him.
Oh, I am the Good
Shepherd,
Who laid his own
life down for the sheep.
I know them. They
know me.
They will live with
me eternally.
The thief only comes
to steal and
Kill and to destroy
the church.
I have come to give
you life that
You may have it to
the full…
They know my voice,
so they follow me.
