The Man Behind the Curtain

Who’s the man behind the curtain?

And is he good, or is he bad?

Does he care about the people?

Or do the people make him mad?

Is he a man of just self-interest,

Who thinks now only of himself,

Who puts the needs of all the people

Neatly stacked upon a shelf?

Is he dishonest and malicious,

Someone opposite of good?

Not trustworthy, egocentric,

Fakes that he’s misunderstood?

And really he is a deceiver?

Manipulator at its best?

Who tries to get all of the people

In his future to invest?

Does he fake that he’s a Christian,

Hoping Christians follow him?

Thinking that he is their Wizard,

Make things better now for them?

What’s he teaching them, in practice?

Be dishonest, tell your lies?

All so you will gain acceptance?

And so you they’ll not deny?

Who’s the man behind the curtain

Hiding who he really is?

Anyone who hides the truth

So others think he’s quite the Wiz.

Many are them, multiplying,

Speak the lies and not the truth.

Be now wise and so discerning

So you not taken by a ruse.
