“Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope for His lovingkindness,
To deliver their soul from death
And to keep them alive in famine.
Our soul waits for the Lord;
He is our help and our shield.
For our heart rejoices in Him,
Because we trust in His holy name.
Let Your lovingkindness, O Lord, be upon us,
According as we have hoped in You.” (Psalm 33:18-22 NASB1995)
We live in a day and time when there is so much upheaval in
our world and in our nations. On social media and on the mainstream media and
the non-mainstream media we have daily doses of angst, fearmongering, drama,
fighting, wars, name-calling, and the like. There is so much confusion daily
that it is difficult to separate truth from fiction, and reality from fantasy.
And then we have this constant barrage of warnings of things which never do happen,
but which will happen one day, in one form or another.
We are definitely living in these last days before the
return of Christ, and more and more we are seeing that a beast is rising, and
he is doing the kinds of things spoken about in Revelation 13. For our world is
being ruled by a group of elite, wealthy, and powerful people who are
progressively bringing us all under this rule of the beast in a New World Order
where we will all be one people under one ruler, and we will no longer have
independent nations with our own rulers, kings, presidents, and the like.
And this also means that we live in an age of great
deception, so we cannot just go around trusting everyone who says they are a
Christian, or a pastor, or a church elder or deacon or whatever title they go
by. And we cannot believe everything they tell us in the news, even if they
show us photos or videos, because everything can be faked these days, just like
Hollywood productions. So just because “so and so” says it, it doesn’t make it
true. We need to be diligent about praying and testing everything we hear or
read.
For the Scriptures teach us and warn us not to put our trust
in humans, and in kings and rulers of nations, to not make them our gods who we
look to, hoping they will save us from what ails us as the nations of this
planet earth. But we are to look to God only – Father, Son Jesus Christ, and
Holy Spirit – for our salvation, protection, and to meet our needs. For we may
be trusting in the devil in disguise thinking that they are the “good one”
while they are a wolf in sheep’s clothing out to steal, kill, and destroy the
people on earth.
So, please, open your eyes to see what is going on in the
world, and then compare what you see and hear and read to what the Scriptures
teach about these last days before the return of Christ, and what they teach
about beast #1 and beast #2 and the dragon and the mark of the beast. And stop
putting your trust in other humans – in pastors, elders, deacons, priests, the
pope, presidents, kings, and other world leaders or people of prominence who
are widely esteemed, or in any physical nation on this planet.
Our minds and eyes need to be focused on our God, and we are
to be the people of God who fear him, who revere, honor, value, esteem,
worship, and obey him as our one and only God – Father, Son Jesus Christ, and
Holy Spirit. And to worship him is not just in singing songs of worship, but it
is in giving our lives over to God as living and holy sacrifices to God to do
his will and purpose for our lives, to leave our sins behind us, and to now
obey him. He alone should be the one we look to as our Savior to rescue us from
evil.
For Jesus Christ taught that to come to him we must deny
self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin), and follow (obey) him. For if
we hold on to living in sin and for self, we will lose our lives for eternity.
But if we deny self, die daily to sin, by the Spirit, and we walk in obedience
to our Lord and to his commands, in his power, then we have eternal life with
God. For not everyone who calls him “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven,
but the one DOING (obeying) the will of God (see Luke 9:23-26; Matthew
7:21-23).
And the grace of God, which is bringing us salvation, is
training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live
self-controlled, upright, and godly lives while we wait for Jesus’ return. For Christ
“gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for
himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” “For
we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (See Titus 2:11-14;
Ephesians 2:8-10)

Christ’s
Free Servant, Sue J Love
Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.
Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Men deceiving: We’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.
God is Our Help and Our Shield
