Video Talk
Galatians 2:20 ESV
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
In this video talk I discuss what it means to be crucified
with Christ and what it means that I no longer live but Christ lives in me. And
so the Lord had me bring in several other passages of Scripture which help us
to understand what it means to be crucified with Christ and for Christ to now
live within us. But let me say first that for Christ it meant his literal death
and it meant him becoming sin for us on that cross that we might become the
righteousness of God (2 Co 5:21), and it meant him putting our sins to death
with him.
So, if we are crucified with Christ to where self (I), the
flesh, no longer thrives and rules in our lives, and to where Christ Jesus now
lives his life in us and through us, it means death to sin and death to self,
and it involves surrender of our lives now over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ
to where we now let him rule and reign in our hearts and lives and to where we
no longer let sin reign in our bodies to where we obey its passions. For if sin
is what we obey, it ends in death, not in life everlasting (Rom 6:1-23).
Romans 6:1-4,6 ESV
“What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life… We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.”
Ephesians 4:20-24 ESV
“… the way you learned Christ!— assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Titus 2:11-14 ESV
“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.”

Above All
By Paul Baloche / Lenny Leblanc
Above all powers
above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began
Above all kingdoms above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what You're worth
Crucified laid behind the stone
You lived to die rejected and alone
Like a Rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me
Above all
