Isaiah 55:6-8 BSB (Berean Standard Bible)
6Seek the LORD while He may be found;
call on Him while He is near.
7Let the wicked man forsake his way
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the LORD,
that He may have compassion,
and to our God,
for He will freely pardon.
8“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways My ways,”
declares the LORD.
Deity of Christ
Jesus Christ, The Lord, is not just the “Son of God,” but He
is God. And when he lived on the earth He was fully God and fully man (God
incarnate). But He was not born with a sin nature as we are, for He was
conceived of the Spirit and not of man, and He was born to a virgin woman of
God. But He did not come into being just when He was born as a human baby. For
He always existed as God and with God, and He is our creator God. For our God
is Father, Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit – one God in three persons.

Seeking the Lord
If we are seeking the Lord, it means we are pursuing Him, to
learn who He is, to get to know Him, because we want to follow Him. And to
follow Him is to do what He says, to obey Him and His commands (New Covenant).
We abide by His teachings because we love and respect and honor Him. And so, by
God-persuaded faith in Him, which comes from God (not of the flesh), we deny
self, die to sin daily, and walk in obedience to His commands, all in His
power, strength, and wisdom, and according to His love, grace, and mercy.
Born With Sin Natures
When we are born into this world, we are born with sin
natures, in the image of Adam, the first man created by God, and the first man
to sin against God. And when we come into this world we are separate from God,
unable within ourselves to be acceptable and approved of God. So God the Father
sent Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, into the world to put our sins to
death with Him, and to rise from the dead, so that by faith in Jesus Christ we will
now die with Him to sin and walk with Him in obedience to His commands.

Our Ways not God’s Ways
For our thoughts and our ways, in our flesh, are not the
ways of God. We cannot, therefore, in our own flesh, do anything to earn or to
deserve our own salvation. Only by the grace of God, according to His will and
purpose, can any of us find salvation from sin and eternal life with God. But..
salvation from sin is deliverance from our addiction to sin so we will now
serve the Lord in walks of obedience to His commands, in surrender to His will
and purpose for our lives. So by faith in Jesus Christ we must die to sin.

My sheep hear me.
They know me.
They listen to my
voice and obey.
I call them and lead
them.
They know my voice,
so they follow me.
They will never
follow strangers.
They will run away
from them.
The voice of a
stranger they know not;
They do not follow
him.
So, I tell you the
truth that
I am the gate, so
you enter in.
Whoever does enter
Will find
forgiveness and will be saved.
Nonetheless whoever
enters
Not by the gate;
other way,
He is the thief and
a robber.
Listen not, the
sheep to him.
Oh, I am the Good
Shepherd,
Who laid his own
life down for the sheep.
I know them. They
know me.
They will live with
me eternally.
The thief only comes
to steal and
Kill and to destroy
the church.
I have come to give
you life that
You may have it to
the full…
They know my voice,
so they follow me.
