Revelation 11:15-18 BSB (Berean Standard Bible)
Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and loud voices called out in heaven:
“The kingdom of the world
has become the kingdom of our Lord
and of His Christ,
and He will reign forever and ever.”
16And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17saying:
“We give thanks to You, O Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because You have taken Your great power
and have begun to reign.
18The nations were enraged,
and Your wrath has come.
The time has come to judge the dead
and to reward Your servants the prophets,
as well as the saints and those who fear Your name,
both small and great—
and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
A Turning Point
Now I will state up front that I am no Bible scholar when it
comes to the book of Revelation. I must rely totally upon the Lord to give me
the messages He would have me get from these passages of Scripture. But from what
I understand here, this is speaking of the end of all things, not necessarily
the absolute death to all things of this earth, but a definite turning point in
all things of this earth away from Satan’s power and influence and control to
now coming under the authority of Christ’s rule.
Technically speaking, when all these things will take place
and in what order I do not know. But what encourages me is that one day Satan
will no longer have the power and control he now has over so many people who
live on the earth. And this is not to say that he presently has any power over
God or that God could not end his existence at any moment in time. He can! God
still reigns supreme over all things, and nothing can happen but what God
allows it to happen, but for a time, and then Satan will be no more.
Why Does Satan Exist?
So, some people might ask why is that God allows Satan the
power that he apparently now has? Why did he allow him to exist and to tempt
human kind to sin? Like for example, why did God allow Satan to do what he did
to the Lord’s servant Job? Perhaps it is because God wanted a people who would
choose Him, the Lord, over the opposition. Perhaps we, as humans, who are born
with sin natures, in the image of Adam, because we are flesh, need to be
challenged in our walks of faith so we choose God because we want God.
I know that the Bible teaches us who follow Jesus Christ
that we must suffer for the sake of righteousness. We will be hated and we will
be persecuted by those who are not following after God, but who are still
living to please the flesh, if we are standing for truth and righteousness and
if we are speaking the truth of the gospel of our salvation to the people of
the world. But suffering is for our good to draw us away from the world so we
will follow after our Lord in walks of surrender to Him in obedience to His
commands.

The Time Has Come
So, at this point in
the end of all things, whenever that may be, Satan has lost his control and his
influence over the people of the earth, and those who were serving his purposes
were now being put to death, and they were now being conquered by God who
poured out his wrath against the enemies of God and of Christ and of His gospel
message. For in the time of tribulation to come upon the earth God will judge
the enemies of the cross of Christ who were also those who persecuted His
servants and messengers.
But this will also
be a time when God will reward His servants, the prophets (the ones called of
God who are speaking His truths), and His servants, the saints of God who fear
(honor, respect, revere, esteem) His name, both small and great, i.e. both
those not well known and those well known. We who have remained faithful to our
Lord in His service, in walks of obedience to His commands in holy living,
despite all opposition and persecutions, we will be rewarded in the end with
salvation and eternal life with God.
