Then the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."

The Woodpecker

Tuesday, November 09, 2010, 11:57 p.m. – I lay in bed to sleep and had a vision.

THE VISION: I saw the beak of a bird that looked like the beak of a woodpecker. The bird used its beak to peck on the ground, it appeared. The bird was facing north as it pecked. Then the beak changed to a beak that curved at the end and then the bird began to claw at the ground with its beak. The beak grew larger and the curve at the end more pronounced and it began to dig even deeper into the ground. Then, its wings spread and began to flap.

I heard the name of a girl from a previous dream/vision where her name was synonymous with the name Erika, which was the title of a marching song of the German military and of the Prussianized Chilean army. END

Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. I read Matthew 13:1-23:

The Parable of the Sower
1 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”

11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables:

“Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

“‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’

16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

My Understanding: I read these news stories: At home in Indonesia, Obama reaches out to Muslims - http://apnews.excite.com/article/20101110/D9JD2FC00.html; and Bush book praised in Dallas, criticized overseas - http://apnews.excite.com/article/20101110/D9JD06100.html.

In the story about Obama in Indonesia, the article states:
“Seeking to cement relations with fast-growing Asian trading partners…” “America has a stake in an Indonesia that is growing… because a rising middle class here means…”

This immediately brought to mind the “bird beak” that grew larger and the end more pronounced as it began to dig even deeper into the ground. It also reminded me of “The Beast” rising out of the vehicle in the water and the Phoenix (bird) rising out of the ashes - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_(mythology).

The Indonesia article continued:
“U.S. relations are still frayed with the Islamic world despite his best efforts at repair. He urged all sides to look beyond ‘suspicion and mistrust’ to forge common ground against terrorism.” “Forcefully returning to a theme he sounded last year… those who want to build must not cede ground to terrorists who seek to destroy.” “He praised the world’s most populous Muslim nation for standing its ground against violent extremism.” “He said both sides have a choice: either ‘be defined by our differences and give in to a future of suspicion and mistrust’ or ‘do the hard work of forging common ground and commit ourselves to the steady pursuit of progress.’”

This immediately brought to mind this woodpecker (or bird with long, sharp beak that pecks) pecking on the ground, then the bird with the curved beak clawing and digging deep into the ground. This pecking of the woodpecker (pecking bird) reminded me of “pecking order.” I believe very much that this “forging of common ground,” “forcefully returning”, “not ceding ground”, and “standing its ground” have to do with this:

Pecking order or just peck order is a hierarchical system of social organization in animals. It was first described from the behaviour of poultry by Thorleif Schjelderup-Ebbe in 1921 under the German terms Hackordnung or Hackliste and introduced into English in 1925.

The original usage of "peck order" referred to expression of dominance of birds. Dominance in chickens is expressed in various behaviours including pecking which was used by Schjelderup-Ebbe as a measure of dominance. In his 1922 German-language article he noted that "defense and aggression in the hen is accomplished with the beak".

The basic concept behind the establishment of the pecking order among, for example, chickens, is that it is necessary to determine who is the 'top chicken,' the 'bottom chicken' and where all the rest fit in between. The establishment of the dominance hierarchy is believed to reduce the incidence of intense conflicts that incur a greater expenditure of energy. The dominance level determines which individual gets preferential access to food and mates.

Continuing with the news story about Indonesia, the article said:
“Obama praised Indonesia for having ‘made progress in rooting out terrorists and combating violent extremism.’” “Noting the path from colonial rule to democracy had been a rocky one, Obama said democracy ‘is messy’.” “On the Middle East, Obama noted that ‘false starts and setbacks’ in getting the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians back on course. But he said the U.S. will ‘spare no effort in working for the outcome that is just and that is in the interest of all the parties involved: two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security.’ “Reaching out to the Islamic world, Obama said efforts to build trust and peace are showing promise but are still clearly incomplete.”

“A reminder of that difficult road awaited Obama when he landed in Indonesia Tuesday. Israel's decision to build more apartments in east Jerusalem, a disputed territory claimed by Palestinians, had already earned a rebuke from American diplomats before a tired, traveling president weighed in.” Obama said, “I’m concerned that we’re not seeing each side make the extra effort involved to get a breakthrough… each of these incremental steps can end up breaking down trust.” “Obama also pointedly noted that the global economy is out of whack…” The Fed’s announcement last week that it would in effect print $600 billion to buy longer-term U.S. Treasury bonds… had further driven down an already weak dollar, worsening global trade tensions.”

This “rooting out,” “breaking down trust,” “a breakthrough,” and Obama “pointedly” noting, as well as Israel “earned a rebuke” brought to mind, as well, this bird “pecking” at the ground, then the beak changing or perhaps it leading to another bird with a curved beak digging deep into the ground, growing and expanding.

Then we have this passage of scripture about the 4 types of soil and the seed that was sown by the farmer. First of all, the seed fell along the path and the birds came and ate it up. Next the seed fell on rocky places where it did not have much soil… the plants were scorched and withered because they had no root. The meaning of these two types of soil in response to the seed sown have to do with the seed as the message of the kingdom of God that is sown into people’s hearts. When someone hears the message but does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in the person’s heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy, but since he or she has no root, when trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he or she quickly falls away.

Though this news article is speaking of the nation of Israel and the Islamic nations, I believe the true battle is between the evil one and Jesus Christ and his offspring. This rising and growing of this bird beak has to do with the rise of the Beast and/or this New World Order which is growing and expanding via these dominance displays to show who is on top in the pecking order of the world and via forcing this “common ground” among nations through war, intimidation, bombs, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and tsunamis, et al. And, this is also about the destruction and obliteration of those who hold to the truth of the whole gospel, i.e. those Christians who hold to the belief that Jesus Christ is the only way, the only truth and the only life and that no one comes to God the Father except through Him. This New World Order blends all governments into one government under one rule (under the pecking order) and it blends all religions under one that allows for many ways to God and carries a concept of God with it that makes human beings as gods themselves. They are a religion unto themselves. This is what the Bible told us was coming and is coming and is come.

So, when the article describes the path between colonialism to democracy as a “rocky path,” the Lord is saying that this is a path where the evil one (represented by birds) comes along and snatches the truth away from the people, which is this “rooting out.” The “false starts” have to do with these two types of soil where seed was planted (the starts) but where it never took root because of the evil one and because of persecution at the hand of the evil one and because the seed never took root. This “breakthrough” and “breaking down trust” and “rebuke” are really our government leaders in concert with the evil one going against true believers in Jesus and anyone who will not submit to the Beast. Obama is going around the world representing the New World Order (and/or Beast) and he is demanding that the people, governments and true believers in Jesus Christ in the world bow to the New World Order (and/or the Beast) or face the consequences. This fits with Revelation 13. So, the bird(s) in this vision is representative of the “evil one” in this passage of scripture and this pecking and digging deeper into the ground is this Beast and/or New World Order digging its position and making its stance known worldwide, in the pecking order, that it is the one on top and everyone else falls underneath.

Jesus spoke these things in parables (and still does via dreams and visions) because he said that those who are receptive and who have received the knowledge of the kingdom of heaven will be given more knowledge and understanding, but concerning those who, like these two types of soil, in particular, have no root and the seed never takes hold, he says: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.” He said that their hearts have become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. That is why the evil one is able to snatch the seed away from them. But, he says to those who are his true disciples and to whom his words have taken root, that they are blessed because they see and they do hear.

God, I believe, is bringing this bird(s) against the people of the world in order to separate the wheat from the chaff and to open people’s eyes and so that they will hear and so that they will not be led astray by the evil one who is bent on destruction. God wants us to return to Him. He wants us to have good soil on which to receive the seed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to produce fruit and a crop (the salvation of lives). The evil one is among us sowing his own seed (the weeds) and he is working on snatching the good seed of the gospel out of our hearts so that we will accept this one world government and one world religion, but we need to stand firm in our faith and we need to not bow to the Beast but to be willing to die for our Lord rather than to bow to any other than Jesus Christ, our Lord.

I Will Not Go Quietly / Steven Curtis Chapman

I was born with an angel whispering in my ear
Telling me sacred secrets that God wanted me to hear
And I have lived to tell the mysteries I've been told
And even when they tell me it's my time to go
No I will not, No I will not
Not go quietly
No I will not, No I will not
Not go quietly no, no, Not go quietly no, no
Not go quietly
These things I tell, they are much truer
Than the heart of he who speaks
Even so, this humble servant
Cannot help but talk about his King
So I will sing 'cause I can't hold back the song
I shout and scream until God takes me home
So how can I keep silent?
So how can I not speak?
And tell about the Savior
Who has set this prisoner free?
