Habakkuk 1:5-11 BSB (Berean Standard Bible)
“5Look at the nations and observe—
be utterly astounded!
For I am doing a work in your days
that you would never believe
even if someone told you.
6For behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans —
that ruthless and impetuous nation
which marches through the breadth of the earth
to seize dwellings not their own.
7They are dreaded and feared;
from themselves they derive justice and sovereignty.
8Their horses are swifter than leopards,
fiercer than wolves of the night.
Their horsemen charge ahead,
and their cavalry comes from afar.
They fly like a vulture,
swooping down to devour.
9All of them come bent on violence;
their hordes advance like the east wind;
they gather prisoners like sand.
10They scoff at kings
and make rulers an object of scorn.
They laugh at every fortress
and build up siege ramps to seize it.
11Then they sweep by like the wind
and pass through. They are guilty;
their own strength is their god.”
My Reality
I live in the United States of America. So, when I read this
passage of Scripture this morning, I immediately connected it with the US
government. This is what they have been doing in other nations, and in their
own nation, for all of my life and longer. Early on in my life I had absolutely
no clue about any of this. I believed the news media. I believed the government
of the US was who they claimed they were. I did the pledge of allegiance to the
US flag and to its government by routine, because that is what I was taught.
But then, in the year 2004, the Lord began to open my eyes
to the truth of who the US government really is, and to the truth of the kinds
of things they have been doing and getting away with all of my life (76 years).
Back when the internet was still pretty wide open and way less controlled as it
is now, the Lord led me to read all sorts of articles about the US government
and their beginnings and what kinds of things they are doing in our nation and
in the nations of the rest of the world, and it was not a pretty picture.
The same goes for the physical and political nation called “Israel,”
which is a creation of man, and not of God. For biblical Israel today is
comprised of all who are of faith in Jesus Christ, Jew and Gentile. And most of
the people from the political nation called “Israel” are not believers in Jesus
Christ, so they are antichrist (1 John 2:22). They are not God’s chosen people
if they reject Jesus as their Messiah. And that political nation is also
treating other nations in many of the same ways in which the US is treating
other nations.
They Seize Dwellings not Their Own
Anyway, back to the USA. The government and military of my
nation have been doing what God said the “Chaldeans” would do. The US, which is
being controlled by the wealthy and powerful people of the world who are the de
facto government of the USA, is a ruthless and impetuous nation which marches
through the breadth of the earth to seize dwellings and resources and minerals
and plants which are not theirs to own. They rape, pillage, destroy, murder,
burn and devour anything and anyone who they choose.
So they create “false flag operations” in order to cover for
their evil deeds and to convince the people of their own nation that they are
the “good guys” going around the world taking out the “bad guys” who they claim
are a threat to our nation. But they were responsible for the bombing of Pearl
Harbor and for the murdering of JFK and for the destruction of the World Trade
Centers and for all the people who died when those buildings collapsed into
thin air. And they have murdered so many people in other nations.
Attack First and Then Save
A long time ago I watched a movie about a man who fell onto
train tracks and about a woman who saved his life. She had imagined marrying
that man many times, and so at the hospital she whispered to herself that she
was going to marry him. So the news got out that she was his fiancé and then it
went crazy from there. He was told he had amnesia when he didn’t remember her
but then he began to like her and to feel guilty for bad things he had done. He
confessed this to his brother about squirrels he rescued:
“First I knocked them out of the tree, and then I went in to
save them” (something like that). And that is what the US government has been
doing all my life. They go into other nations on the premise that these other
nations need their help but only after they first created the disaster that
they are supposedly going in to “fix.” But their “fix” is not to help these
other nations to recover, but to bring them under the control of the “international
community,” and if they do not cooperate, they will pay for it dearly.
The Man in Charge
And we presently have a man in charge of our nation (our
president) who is bent on taking over the whole world and to murdering in cold
blood whoever he chooses with no one apparently doing anything to stop him. He
is a man who had a golden statue of himself made and put on display at his golf
club. And he has many Americans worshipping him who are blinded to who he is
and to what he is doing to the people of the world and to our own nation. And
many of them also worship the political nation called “Israel.”
Thus, over the years, I have come to believe that the US
government is “the harlot” spoken of in the book of Revelation, and one day “the
beast” is going to destroy her and burn her with fire. Right now she “rides the
beast,” i.e. she does his bidding, the bidding of the de facto government of
the USA. But already my nation is being taken down, one piece at a time. I
wonder how long before the USA falls to pieces and is no longer the nation she
once was. It seems as though it could not be too far away. One day at a time.

Jesus Christ is
gently calling
You to follow Him in

Trust Him with your
life today.
Make Him your Lord
and your Savior.
Turn from your sin.
Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you

made new within.
Men betraying: Our
trust fraying.
On our knees to God
we’re praying,
Seeking God to give
us answers
That are only found
in Him.
God is sovereign
over all things.
Nothing from His
mind escaping.
He has all things
under His command,
And will work all
for good.
Jesus Christ is
gently calling
You to follow Him in
all ways.
Men deceiving: We’re
believing
In our Lord, and
interceding
For our nation and
its people
To obey their God
today.
He is our hope for
our future.
For our wounds He
offers suture.
He is all we need
for this life.
Trust Him with your
life today.
