What Captivates You?

What do you now believe in?

What captivates your life?

What now gets all your passion?

What in you now is rife?

What gets you up in morning?

Keeps you up late at night?

What satisfies your longings?

What takes you to that height?

What interests you, so you search

For truth of what that is?

What fascinates your thinking,

In search of it you quiz?

What do you feel you’re missing?

That somewhere there’s a hole?

What plans you have to find it?

Do you have any goal?

Have you considered Jesus?

The Son of God, He is.

On earth was God incarnate,

So God, He surely is.

They crucified Him, hating

The things He did and said.

But on that cross He suffered

And put our sins to death.

He died, so we’d die with Him

To sins that we then did,

So we would now live for Him,

And to Him our lives give.

He wants us to obey Him,

Do all that He requires,

And to Him now be faithful,

And His will now desire.
