Habakkuk 2

Then the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."

Tears Were in His Eyes

One day as I was walking

Along a lonely road

I came across a person

Of whom I’d not been told

He was not one prestigious –

Not in the eyes of man

He looked like one deserted

Like one whom they had canned

He had a sad composure

For tears were in his eyes

And as I now observed him

Then I began to cry

I wondered what had hurt him

I wondered why so sad

Why was he now deserted?

Had he done something bad?

I listened to his story

I did not interrupt

On him I had compassion

I found him not corrupt

I learned He was our Savior

Who died for all our sins

So we could be forgiven

And we now live for Him

So why was He deserted?

Because of all the lies

So many now reject Him

For they His grace deny

His grace which calls, “Repentance”

His grace which says, “Obey”

His grace which speaks, “Forgiveness”

For grace, do not delay
