My Thoughts

I’m looking out the window

And staring at the sky

My thoughts are of observing

What happens by and by

I think of world in crisis

I think of loved ones lost

I think of circumstances

And of what items cost

I think about tomorrow

What happens yet today

I think of politicians

I think what they’ll replay

I think of hidden secrets,

Not mine, but others are

And when they’ll come to surface

If trite or so bizarre

My mind goes on adventure

To thoughts yet now unknown

With what I’ll yet discover

When truth is fully grown

For life is so uncertain

So many twists and turns

As things now keep advancing

Beyond what my heart yearns

And so, I rest in Jesus

I know He knows the rest

I let Him be my answer

In Him I do invest

I follow where He leads me

I opt to do His will

And let Him manage everything

That goes on up The Hill.
