Habakkuk 2

Then the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."

Strange Things Will Take Place

1 The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel:

2 To know wisdom and instruction,

    to understand words of insight,

3 to receive instruction in wise dealing,

    in righteousness, justice, and equity;

4 to give prudence to the simple,

    knowledge and discretion to the youth—

5 Let the wise hear and increase in learning,

    and the one who understands obtain guidance,

6 to understand a proverb and a saying,

    the words of the wise and their riddles.

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;

    fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:1-7 ESV)

If we want to be wise and discerning people who believe the truth and not the lies, then we need to learn to recognize the tools of the enemy in how he deceives the naïve and gullible so that they end up following him and his servants rather than following God and the truth of his word. This is while they believe they are trusting in and following the truth and that they are following people who can be trusted to tell them the truth. And this extends beyond just the realm of religion, but into many other areas of power.

So, here’s the thing. I live in the United States of America. From early childhood on up, at least in my generation, but in all generations since I was a child (1950s on up), anyway, we as Americans were taught to put hand over heart and to pledge (vow) our allegiance (undivided loyalty/worship) to our form of government. And we were taught to sing patriotic songs of worship to our government. And we were taught to honor our military as our heroes and as our saviors who were protecting us from our “enemies.”

This was taught us in our institutions of education (of learning), as well as in the gatherings of the church where the US flag was prominently displayed in the front of the “sanctuary” on one side of the pulpit. And it was probably reinforced in many American homes. I trusted my government. I believed what they told me. I had no reason not to. I voted a straight party ticket when I voted in the elections, too. And I believed that what the news told me was happening, that it was really happening. It is the way I was raised.

And I am not saying that this was everyone’s experience, but from what I have observed, it does still seem to be the majority. And I had no desire nor hunger to venture out into the unknown and to test the government’s and the news media’s messages. I assumed they were truth. But I did have a strong hunger and desire for the truth of God’s word and to make certain that what I was being taught was the truth, although early on I am certain that I just believed whatever they told me, unless it was a blatant lie.

So where am I going with this? What I wasn’t taught much in my life was the need to test everything I heard or read, and to test everyone who claimed that something was true but which may or may not have been true. So I was fairly gullible unless the Scriptures were clearly saying the opposite. But we need to be people of God who do not believe anyone just at face value, and who do not blindly put our trust in certain people and what they tell us just because we were trained to do so, or because we were manipulated to do so.

Now, the internet is not as wide open as it was even 10 years ago, and so a lot of information that was widely available then may not be available now. But broaden your scope of knowledge by looking into the history of the USA from records other than just the officially approved ones. And do this prayerfully. Look at the layout of Washington D.C. and their idols (statues and buildings) and find out what they are patterned after (false gods). And see what the USA was founded on (Freemasonry and Unitarian Universalism, in addition to Christianity).

Look up “weather manipulation” and how nuclear bombs and other devices can be used to cause tsunamis and earthquakes and to control hurricanes. Don’t just write all of this off as a lie just because your government is telling you it is a lie. Pray!! Ask the Lord to show you what is true and what are lies. Don’t trust the government. If you only knew what the US government is doing and has done in the name of God and in the name of mercy, you would not be so quick to put your trust in them. Don’t believe the news media, either. Lies and liars abound!!

And then look at the Scriptures that tell you about the happenings of the last days. Many of the things that they describe are beyond our comprehension, are they not? Lots of weird things, right? So then why do we shut our ears when someone tries to tell us that not everything is on the “up and up” and that not everyone can be trusted to tell us the truth?

“And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.” (Revelation 16:13-14 ESV)

“Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived.” (Revelation 13:11-14 ESV)

“For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand.” (Matthew 24:24-25 ESV)

“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV)

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” (Matthew 7:15 ESV)

“I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to admonish every one with tears.” (Acts 20:29-31 ESV)

Do you believe what these Scriptures are telling you? If you do, then act on it. Don’t put your trust in other human beings just because someone convinced you to do so, and without really checking those people out to see what they are really all about, and to make certain that what they are telling you is the truth and not the lies of the enemy. And do this in prayer and in the study of the Scriptures, seeking God for the right answers. For what these Scriptures tell us is that we cannot take everyone at face value.

And these Scriptures are letting us know that there will be strange goings on, and weird things that don’t make sense, and all kinds of signs and wonders that are not of God, including “making fire come down from heaven in front of people.” Certainly this could be describing weather manipulation, could it not? How else will they bring fire down from heaven? It is not a natural occurring event this is speaking of here. And the enemy’s goal is to deceive people, even the elect. So, please test everything you hear.

For Our Nation

An Original Work / September 11, 2012

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.

Jesus Christ is gently calling

You to follow Him in all ways.

Trust Him with your life today.

Make Him your Lord and your Savior.

Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.

He will forgive you of your sin;

Cleanse your heart, made new within.

Men betraying: Our trust fraying.

On our knees to God we’re praying,

Seeking God to give us answers

That are only found in Him.

God is sovereign over all things.

Nothing from His mind escaping.

He has all things under His command,

And will work all for good.

Jesus Christ is gently calling

You to follow Him in all ways.

Men deceiving: We’re believing

In our Lord, and interceding

For our nation and its people

To obey their God today.

He is our hope for our future.

For our wounds He offers suture.

He is all we need for this life.

Trust Him with your life today.
