An Original Work / November 18, 2021
Drama, drama, noise they’re making,
Theatre, all for the taking,
Cast their spells and brew their vermin,
Cook their stew for all who’re list’ning.
Trouble, trouble, always something,
Worst is first and lies they’re mixing,
Countless hours on same subject,
Drive it home, that is the object.
Keep them coming, keep it brewing,
For emotions they are stirring,
One dies down so raise another,
Up in arms ‘gainst sister, brother.
Black and white, or reps and them dems,
North and south, or which right pres’dent,
Guns and rights, or jabs and “no thanks,”
Jobs and none, and no funds in banks.
Short supplies and short staffed there, too,
Shelves are empty, but then what’s new?
Circus, circus, all around us,
No gas for car, then get on bus.
Keep us fearful, keep us off feet,
Wear us down so us they can beat,
D’vide and conquer, that is the plan,
Out of ashes new world advance.
All for evil, to work their goal,
Doesn’t matter who gets hurt, though,
Sacrifices they make to gods,
While on us they choose to then trod.
“And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven. Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain” (Rev 13:5-8 ESV).
