Jesus baby in a manger
To so many He’s a stranger,
Not a threat, though, not a danger,
For He just lies in a manger.
Jesus man of God in person
Makes Himself God, His assertion,
Does not give in to coercion
For He is God, that’s most certain!
Jesus Christ, our living Savior
Crucified for our behaviors,
For He granted us His favor,
For His bride His life He gave her.
Jesus Christ our God we worship
People’s anger He did stir up,
For His purpose He did firm up
When the truth to them He served up.
For He calls for self-denial
Tribulations, tears, and trials,
Walking with Him down the aisle
‘Til He comes, ‘til His arrival.
Calls for us to leave behind us
All the sins that truly blind us.
His commands, obey them we must
In His Word we fully must trust.
If we don’t obey Him daily,
Follow Him with our lives greatly,
If instead we’re truly lazy,
He’ll reject us, do so gravely.
Jesus Christ, our Risen Savior
Wants a change in our behavior
Resulting from His good favor
So that His bride He will save her.

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)
