Colossians 3:1-4 ESV
“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
Let’s look at the message here in relation to what is
permeating the news right now. What is the message being given out with these
protests? With whom do they want us to be in solidarity? Whose cause do they
want us to fight for? What is their objective? What is their goal? What or who
is behind this movement? Who do they want us to bow to? Who do they want us to
confess our sins to? Where do they want our loyalties to lay?
It isn’t with Jesus Christ. They aren’t leading us to faith
in Jesus Christ as our only hope for salvation. They are leading us to a
movement of man, and to the promise that they are going to somehow change the
hearts of men.
The hope and change they are promising is not of God, not of
the gospel of our salvation, and it is not leading anyone to faith in Jesus
Christ as their only hope for what ails this world. But it is leading them to
men as their hope of salvation, and it is leading them away from Jesus Christ.
And, I guarantee that those who are leading this movement
aren’t on anyone’s side but their own. Their goal is to trick you, to use you,
to manipulate you, and to scare and intimidate you into following them.
So, they prey on people’s vulnerabilities by hitting them
where it hurts, where they know they have been injured in the past, or where
they are weak. For, they know then that they can capture them in their net of
deceit. They do this all the time. It is how Satan works. It is cruel, but it
works.
A Global Movement
This movement is global, and it has one main goal. It is to
unite the people of the whole world and to bring us all into subjection to the
rule of the beast and into a one world religion. Mark my words! This is what is
coming! And, they do this by creating chaos and anarchy so that they can come
in as “saviors” with their preconceived plan (of the beast) for how to unite us
as the people of the world and to get us to have world peace (not with God).
I have been following their tactics for the past 15 ½ years,
ever since the Lord Jesus began to open my eyes to what is truly going on in
the world and in my nation and how this all fits with prophecy of Scripture
regarding these last days before the return of Christ. And, they follow the
same modus operandi every time. It is all scripted. They are following a
playbook for how to conquer the people of the world, and they have been largely
successful.
And, I can tell you, too, that this is going to bring about
the persecution of the saints of God. For them to create this perfect society
they are envisioning, they have to break down everything that divides us as a
people. The eight years Obama was in office, he and the pope were continually
singing a duet with this message of solidarity and breaking down all that
divides us, and that includes getting rid of our faith and the gospel of Jesus.
So, they incite fear and panic. They incite hate, violence, and
anarchy. They want us fighting one another on all kinds of fronts. And, it is
working, too. For they get Christians fighting one another over right or left,
black or white, masked or unmasked, and the list goes on and on. For they want
us divided so that they can conquer us, so that they can unite us under a New
Head who will promise us world peace, but at a huge cost. Know this!
We Must Pray!
And, we have to not buy into their lies. We have to not get
caught up in their webs of deceit. We must step back from the situations
presented to us, and remove ourselves from our emotions, so that we can think
clearly on these matters. And, then we need to pray, and we need to read our
Bibles, and we need to test all these situations against the Scriptures in
prayer, and seek God’s counsel, not the counsel of men in their deceitful
scheming.
For, they want to draw us away from our faith in Jesus
Christ to follow after them and their movement. So, we have to pay attention.
Read their signs. Read them again. Pray about what the messages are really
saying. Listen to their voices. Watch their body language. And, test it all
against the Word of God. For, God is not calling us to follow this movement,
for it is a trap, and it is going to lead you the wrong direction. For, it is
of the “Pied Piper.”
Should We Care?
Is what they are promoting getting us to set our minds on
things above? On Jesus Christ and his gospel, and of him as our ONLY SAVIOR? Or,
are these images of these killings and these demonstrations getting us to set
our minds on things of this earth, to following man, instead of following God?
Should we care that people are being used, abused, taken
advantage of, killed, raped, and demeaned? Yes!! Do you know what our government
and what our military have been doing in all these other nations across the
globe ever since the end of WWII or even before that? And, especially since
9/11? Do we even care? Ask the Lord about that one. Ask him to show you who the
Great Prostitute really is and what our country has been up to.
Believe me when I tell you that this movement is not about
caring about people of color. I know you don’t want to hear that, but that is
the reality. It isn’t to say that there are not people who are caught up in
this movement who are in for the right reasons, because they want all people to
be treated equally, and they want to stop racism in its tracks. I believe there
are very sincere and caring people who want people of color to not have to be
abused. And, they hope that they can do something to make that right.
The Big Picture
But we have to look at the big picture here. And, we must do
so in light of Scripture, and in light of God’s calling on our individual lives,
which is a call to lives of suffering and persecution, of being mistreated and
rejected, because we follow Jesus Christ with our lives. And, so we have to
look at what Jesus taught and modeled in how he dealt with mistreatment and
persecution and in how we are to respond to such treatment, as well.
And, we are not to lose our focus, which is to be on Jesus
Christ, and on HIS calling on our lives, and on his purpose for putting us on
this earth, which is to do his work, and to live for him, and which is to lead
people to saving faith in Jesus Christ and to solidarity with God, not with the
world.
For, if truly we have died with Christ, then we won’t demand
our rights. Yet, it isn’t saying that we can’t appeal for fair treatment. It is
not saying that we can’t speak out about injustice, hatred, and deception. We
can. But with the purpose to bring all people into submission to Jesus Christ
as their ONLY LORD and Savior, and with the purpose to see them die with Christ
to sin and self and to live for Christ and for his righteousness and for the
glory of God, and to find healing for their hurts in him.
And, what do the Scriptures teach about how we are to treat
our enemies? We are to love them, forgive them, do good to them, and say to
them what is beneficial for them spiritually, which is for their good, not to
harm them. And, we are NOT to try to get even, for vengeance is God’s, and he
will repay. And, we are to consider ourselves blessed of God when we are
persecuted for righteousness’ sake, and we are to rejoice in our sufferings.
My Counsel to You
So, my counsel here is that you should turn off your TV
sets, and get off of social media and the news media for a few days and spend
that time, which you would normally spend watching the news or scrolling
through messages on social media, that you would spend it in prayer to your
Lord.
Seek his face. Seek his counsel. Test everything you have
been listening to against Scripture. Ask the Lord to show you if there are
hidden agendas here, and if this is all leading to the rule of the beast. And,
then set your minds on things above and not on things of the earth, and
remember that you have died, and that your life is now hidden in Christ, who is
your life!

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.
Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Men deceiving: we’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.
