4/24/2011: I
was sitting in a waiting room at the hospital while my husband was having his
leg examined. The TV in the room was blaring. All of a sudden the Lord Jesus
began to put this tune into my mind, so I verbally recorded it on my cell phone
until I could get home to record it. When I got home and wrote down the notes,
he then also gave me these words.
There is nothing so wonderful
as the sound of voices singing together in adoration of God - Father, Son and
Holy Spirit, and there is no better subject to sing about, in my opinion, than
about God's grace to us in saving us from our sins via Jesus' shed blood on the
cross, when he took upon himself all our sins, having crucified them and buried
them with him, and then triumphing over them by his resurrection so that we
could be free! Amen!
"Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb,
standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s
name written on their foreheads. And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar
of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like
that of harpists playing their harps. And they sang a new song before the
throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn
the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth." ~ Revelation 14:1-3
How Sweet the Sound
/ An Original Work / April 24, 2011
How sweet the sound
of Your saints in chorus;
Oh, how we adore You,
our King. We love You so,
we want You to know.
That’s why we lift
our voice to sing.
Praise and adoration
we bring just to honor God
and our King.
We love You, Lord,
for Your great salvation;
Freely given grace from above.
Jesus, our friend,
His promise won’t end.
He gave His life out of His love.
By His blood
He purchased our fee,
When He died
on Calvary’s tree.
He set us free
so that we can worship
Him as a living sacrifice.
We come to Him
with all of our sin.
Before our God
we humbly bow.
We have been forgiven our sin,
So that we might
be cleansed within.
