"I waited patiently for the Lord;

And will trust in the Lord.

And has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood.” (Psalm 40:1-4 NASB1995)
Now this is really interesting that Psalm 40 should be the
passage of Scripture for today, and that it should begin with, “I waited
patiently for the Lord.” For 3 days ago the Lord spoke to me twice through
Psalm 27:14 to “Wait for the Lord.” And yesterday a family member shared how
recently the Lord had spoken to her 3 times from Isaiah 40:31, which also talks
about waiting for the Lord. “Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new
strength.” So this is my third time recently he has said to me, “Wait for the
Lord.”
For me, over a month ago now, I all of a sudden got this
severe pain in my chest right where my heart is located, and that was followed
by difficulty in breathing, and pain in my left arm which did not go away. So I
went to the ER at a local hospital and they discovered the tumor in my left
lung, which had been there since 2014, had almost doubled in size. And this tumor
is right next to where my heart is located, and it can definitely be what is
causing my difficulty in breathing (breathing at 44% out of 100% capacity), the
sharp chest pains, and the heart failure which I am also experiencing.
My medical doctor ordered a series of tests for me, to check
on various body functions of concern. Two of the tests came back clear and two
did not. The two that did not are the breathing issues and the mild heart
failure. From just a natural and practical viewpoint, it appears that the only
solution for these issues is to have the tumor physically removed via surgery.
But they have to test first to see if it is cancerous, for that could change
things. But that doesn’t mean at all that this is God’s plan. And I have prayed
for healing, but I always include, “Nevertheless, not my will but Thine be
done.”
I want God’s will for my life to be done above all else. And
I am not putting my dependency in medical doctors for my healing, either. So
many of them want you on drugs, and I don’t take pharmaceuticals. I believe the
Lord has been taking me through this trial, involving these tests, to test my
faith, to try me, and to test my patience, and to teach me to endure, and perhaps
to get me ready for even harder trials yet to come, which are bound to come,
the way things are going on in my nation and in the world today.
I am at peace. I am not fearful. I know my life is in the
hands of God and if he wants me to live longer, I will live, but if it is my
time for him to take me home, then I will no longer be on this earth. I know he
has lessons he wants to teach me through all of this, and so I am listening for
his voice to teach me what I need to learn through it all. I know I am to wait
on him and to not be anxious, and that I am doing. I am waiting on him to act,
but while I am waiting I am continuing in what he has called me to do in
writing down what he teaches me each day, and then to share it on the internet.
