Habakkuk 2

Then the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."

A Mighty Storm is Rising

Tuesday, November 10, 2015, 7:40 a.m. – The Lord Jesus put in mind the song “Come and See.” Speak, Lord, your words to my heart. I read Jeremiah 26 (vv. 1-15 NASB).

Listen and Obey (vv. 1-6)

In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came from the Lord, saying, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Stand in the court of the Lord’s house, and speak to all the cities of Judah who have come to worship in the Lord’s house all the words that I have commanded you to speak to them. Do not omit a word! Perhaps they will listen and everyone will turn from his evil way, that I may repent of the calamity which I am planning to do to them because of the evil of their deeds.’ And you will say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord, “If you will not listen to Me, to walk in My law which I have set before you, to listen to the words of My servants the prophets, whom I have been sending to you again and again, but you have not listened; then I will make this house like Shiloh, and this city I will make a curse to all the nations of the earth.”’”

God’s message has not changed with the passing of time. The message he gave here to Jeremiah to give to God’s people is basically the same message Jesus gave to his apostles to give out to the people. If I were to summarize the central message of the whole Bible – Old Testament and New Testament – it would be that God says we must believe in him, turn from our sins, and follow him in obedience to his will for our lives.

Peter said that Jesus died that we might die to sin and live to righteousness (1 Pet. 2:24). Paul said that Jesus died that we might no longer live for ourselves but for Christ who gave himself up for us (2 Co. 5:15). He said that coming to Christ means putting off our old lives of sin, being transformed in heart and mind of the Spirit of God, and putting on our new lives in Christ, “created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness” (Eph. 4:17-24; cf. Ac. 26:16-18). He said that Jesus died that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. If we persist in conducting our lives after the flesh, we will die, but if by the Spirit we put to death the deeds of the flesh, we will live (Ro. 8:1-14; cf. Lu. 9:23-25; 1 Jn. 1:6). Same message. Different time.

Much of today’s church, in particular here in America, is much like the children of God of old who were not listening to God or to his messengers, who were speaking to them the words of God. Many today who profess to know Jesus Christ as Lord and as Savior of their lives live no differently than the people of this sinful world. They tell the same jokes, laugh at the same sensual humor, watch all the same TV shows and movies, listen to the same seductive and ungodly songs, view pornography, talk about everything but Jesus, waste hours upon hours on things that don’t really matter, or that are pure trash, and make excuses for why they don’t spend time with God each day, or for why they are not growing in their walks of faith, or for why they tend to just repeat the same sinful patterns over and over again. Yet, the reason they are in this condition of spiritual apathy or spiritual adultery is because they are not listening to God, but they are going their own stubborn way, resisting the Spirit.

So, God is calling out to his adulterous and idolatrous church. He is saying, “Listen to me! Turn from your sins, and walk with me in faithful obedience, in the power of my Spirit within you, in the ways I have chosen for you.” And, he is promising divine discipline (judgment) if we, as his people, do not repent of our sinful ways, and if we do not listen to him, and if we choose to continue going our own way instead (See: Rev. 2-3; cf. Heb. 12:3-11). I believe some of this judgment has already begun, though, but it is only going to get much worse.

A Mighty Storm

The Lord Jesus brought to mind the passage of scripture in Jeremiah 19:3: “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, ‘Behold I am about to bring a calamity upon this place, at which the ears of everyone that hears of it will tingle.’” He also brought to mind Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of the statue with toes partly of baked clay and partly of iron, meaning this kingdom (the 4th kingdom) would be partly strong and partly brittle. Daniel said that this kingdom will be a mixture and will not remain united (Dn. 2:40-43). Evidently these “toes” of this kingdom represent the 10 kings (horns, kingdoms) of the Beast of Revelation (See: Rev. 13 & 17). The number 10 can be taken literally, i.e. that the world will be divided into 10 literal provinces of this Beast, or it can be taken symbolically to symbolize completeness or fullness, i.e. the Beast’s complete kingdom rule over the earth.

For the past nine (+) years the Lord has been giving me a picture of this beast as a group of elite and powerful people in this world who are truly the ones running things, as a shadow government working behind the scenes, who are the ones bringing about this New World Order, which is the term I generally use to refer to this beast. This beast is comprised of the Bilderberg group, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, world powers, big banks, CEOs of major corporations, etc. They are the ones controlling the world, and are the ones making the decisions for the direction the world is headed, which is to bring all people of this world under a one-world totalitarian government and a one-world religion, with a one-world currency, one-world bank, and one-world army (NATO/ISIS), etc. They have been in the process for some time now of taking down sovereign nations, killing innocents, murdering followers of Christ, persecuting Christians, taking out all opposition, deceiving, manipulating, and overpowering people and governments throughout the world.

I believe the Lord is saying that this is the 4th kingdom spoken of in the book of Daniel, and that many who call themselves Christians have actually helped support this beast in its rise to power, some directly, while others through ignorance, complacency and via not listening to God and not obeying him. The church here in America willingly came under the authority of the US government, which is an evil entity ruled by Satan, and whose mission all along was to bring about this New World Order. The church, for the most part, promotes worship of such government and their military arm via the pledge of fidelity to the US government, via the singing of patriotic songs, via the honoring of our soldiers as heroes, and via the encouragement to believe the news media in whatever they tell us is going on in the world, when most of it is lies, since they are mostly government (New World Order) controlled. So, the US church is largely culpable for the atrocities committed by the US/N.W.O./Beast.

God is using this beast (New World Order) as his divine instrument of judgment against the nations, against all of mankind, and against his idolatrous and adulterous people who have not listened to him, and who have refused to turn from their sins and to walk in God’s ways.

“Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth” (Jer. 25:32).

Courage and Determination (vv. 12-15)

Then Jeremiah spoke to all the officials and to all the people, saying, “The Lord sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard. Now therefore amend your ways and your deeds and obey the voice of the Lord your God; and the Lord will change His mind about the misfortune which He has pronounced against you. But as for me, behold, I am in your hands; do with me as is good and right in your sight. Only know for certain that if you put me to death, you will bring innocent blood on yourselves, and on this city and on its inhabitants; for truly the Lord has sent me to you to speak all these words in your hearing.”

One of the big campaigns of this New World Order “Beast” presently is to go after those who are following Jesus Christ with their lives and who are spreading the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Barack Obama and Pope Francis are two of the main voices of this N.W.O. “Beast” in spreading this message that the world must all come together as one, in solidarity, yet they are just servants of this “Beast” in giving out its messages, and in forcing the world into compliance with this beast in the giving up of sovereign nations and the giving up of independent faiths, which believe their faith is the only way to God, and which teach that people must turn from their sins and must follow Jesus Christ in obedience. We are the “extremists” they talk about who must be silenced. And, they are going to great lengths to try to silence us, too, via the media, in trying to discredit Christianity; via “gang stalking,” which includes harassment and trying to drive people crazy; and via recruiting private citizens to spy on family, friends, neighbors, and fellow church members, etc. They are also murdering Christians in cold blood, too, I believe, and are blaming it on terrorists.

So, what should our response be to all of this? First of all, if we are guilty of not listening to God and we are going our own way, while ignoring God’s calls to repent of our sins, then we need to turn from our sins and follow our Lord Jesus in obedience and surrender to his will for our lives. We have to confess to others where we have wronged them, and make it right, as much as is possible, and we must accept that there may be natural consequences for our sins, even though God does forgive us.

If we are walking in the ways of the Lord, and we are sharing the gospel of our salvation, and we are among those who are being targeted for persecution and death by this “Beast,” then be of courage! Nothing can happen to us but what God allows it, he allows it for a purpose, and he will see us through it. One of Satan’s biggest weapons against us is to try to convince us that he is more powerful than God, and that he can do stuff to us and that God has absolutely no power to stop him. That just is not true! Our God is completely sovereign over all powers and authorities, and he has all of them under his command. Our lives are completely in his control, and he will work out his purposes for our lives through the things he allows us to go through. He will make a way for us when there seems to be no way. So, keep on speaking, and do not be silent! Keep on sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, and showing people the path that God has for them to walk. And, never, ever give up! God will use what we share in someone’s life, who will share it with someone else, who will share it with another, and the gospel will spread, and many will be saved. Amen!

Come and See / An Original Work / May 20, 2013

Based off John 1:35-51

John, the Baptist, called of God to
Make straight the way for the Lord,
Told his disciples about Jesus,
So two of them followed Him.

One of them who followed Jesus
Told his brother, Simon Peter,
Who then he brought to the Savior,
Who had told them, “Come and see.”

Jesus Christ, our Lord, Messiah,
On his way to Galilee found a man, Philip,
So he told him, “I want you to follow Me.”

Philip then found his friend,
And he told him, “We have found the one
The prophets spoke of – He is Jesus!”
Philip then said, “Come and see.”

Jesus saw the man, Nathanael,
While he sat beneath a fig tree,
Even before Philip called him,
So Nathanael did believe.

Nonetheless the Lord said,
“You believe because of what I told you.
You will see much greater things than these
If you will Come and see.”

Jesus’ calling to each one of us.
He tells us to believe in Him
As our Lord and Messiah,
And to follow where He leads.

He says we must turn from our sins,
Die to sin and self each day,
And put on our new lives in Jesus;
Bow before Him; humbly pray.
