Tuesday, October 13,
2015, 11:09 p.m. – The Lord Jesus put in mind the song “For Our Nation.” Speak, Lord, your words to my heart. I read Isaiah 57 (Selected vv. NASB).
Offspring of an
Adulterer (vv. 3-4, 6c-8)
“But
come here, you sons of a sorceress,
Offspring
of an adulterer and a prostitute.
“Against
whom do you jest?
Against
whom do you open wide your mouth
And
stick out your tongue?
Are
you not children of rebellion,
Offspring
of deceit…
Shall
I relent concerning these things?
“Upon
a high and lofty mountain
You
have made your bed…
Indeed,
far removed from Me, you have uncovered yourself,
And
have gone up and made your bed wide.
And
you have made an agreement for yourself with them,
You
have loved their bed,
You
have looked on their manhood…
Beginning as early as 1954, I believe it was, up to the
present, the vast majority of the church here in America has partnered with the
US government via the 501c3 not-for-profit corporation status, for tax exempt
purposes, although I believe they were already tax exempt, so this wasn’t
necessary. It appears they bought into a lie. What this did was put the US
government in the position of head of the church in place of Jesus Christ, so
this was a gross act of the church committing adultery, and loving the bed of
another over her relationship with Jesus Christ. What this also did was submit
the church to the leadership and to the authority of the US government in
restricting what could be taught from the pulpit, especially with regard to speaking
out against any politician, so this basically silenced the church from warning
its people against wolves in sheep’s clothing who existed within the US
government.
I am not sure at what point the church began to institute
the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the US, and to encourage the body of
Christ to make this pledge (vow of fidelity) to the government of the USA, but
I am nearly 66 years old, and I grew up pledging allegiance to the flag daily in
school and regularly in meetings of the church. The US flag always was
prominently displayed in the room called “the sanctuary” in buildings which
were called “church,” i.e. where the church met together for fellowship, prayer,
the teaching of the word and worship. So, instead of the church speaking out
against wolves in sheep’s clothing, if they were tied in with the government, the
church encouraged and promoted government worship via this vow of fidelity to
the government, via the singing of patriotic songs, via the honoring of our
soldiers as heroes for invading other nations and killing innocents, and via
the encouragement to believe whatever the government and the government-controlled
media spews out to the American public on a daily basis, without testing to see
if it is true.
When we, the church, make compromises with the world, we
open the door for even more compromises to ensue. And, that is what happened.
The church opened the door to humanistic teaching and worldly philosophy under
the guise of trying to reach the lost for Jesus Christ, and under the guise of “church
growth,” but they forgot that it is God who grows his church, and it is through
the salvation of souls and the sanctification of his children that it grows,
not through human business marketing schemes and their trickery.
The church, though not all congregations, accepted teaching
contrary to scripture in order to attract the world into their meetings, and
they compromised the gospel in order to not offend the people of the world, and
in order to make the gospel more acceptable to them, which is no gospel at all.
Instead of confronting sinners with their sin, and calling them to repentance,
and teaching them to walk in obedience to their Lord, they entertain them with
a somewhat cleaned up version of what the world is offering them in the way of
entertainment. And, they teach them that God does not require repentance or
obedience, only some vague “faith” which is no faith at all, for what it
believes is a false gospel absent of the cross of Christ in our lives.
The vast majority of the church here in America has gone the
way of the world in order to attract the world, and in order to lead those who
have professed Christ as Savior into living in spiritual adultery, complacency
and lukewarmness. They are being taught to not confront people with the gospel,
but to “stay in your own lane.” And, they emphasize the importance of making
church fun, exciting and non-judgmental, so as to appeal to all people. The “gospel”
has been changed to nothing more than just “good works,” i.e. to acts of
kindness to others, which is certainly part of the gospel, but it is absent of
the cross of Christ. Good works do not save anyone! I believe many within the
church have fallen into sin, many into sexual sin via the easy access to porn
via the internet, and thus they have accepted this watered-down gospel because
it allows them to continue in sin guilt-free.
All of these compromises with the world and this partnering
with an evil government, and this promotion of government worship, has lulled
the church to sleep so that they not only don’t pay attention to what is really
going on in the world, because they believe the lies, but they invite even more
evil into the church and open wide their bed to even greater adultery, only
this time with the New World Order, with the help and guidance and assistance
of their partner, the US government. And, the offspring of this union is now
beginning to rear its ugly head. All Christians are now being vilified in the
news as being hypocritical, ignorant, bigoted, hateful, prejudicial, intolerant
and unloving, while those who embrace all religions and all walks of life, no
matter how sinful, are being glorified as those showing the true love of God to
others, because they accept and are supportive of and are tolerant of all people
no matter what they believe or how they choose to live their lives.
No Fear of God
(vv. 11-13)
“Of
whom were you worried and fearful
When
you lied, and did not remember Me
Nor
give Me a thought?
Was
I not silent even for a long time
So
you do not fear Me?
“I
will declare your righteousness and your deeds,
But
they will not profit you.
“When
you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you.
But
the wind will carry all of them up,
And
a breath will take them away.
But
he who takes refuge in Me will inherit the land
And
will possess My holy mountain.”
God has been very patient with his adulterous church here in
America. He has been sending her messages, confronting her with her sin,
calling her to repentance, and warning her of judgment if she does not repent.
Because the Lord has tarried, and he has not strongly disciplined his wayward
church in the west, yet, many have become complacent and they think God will
not discipline them, and that they can go on in their spiritual adultery. The
church here in America, thus, has largely lost the fear of God. Part of this is
due to this false gospel which requires nothing but some vague acknowledgment
of what Christ did for us in dying for our sins, but does not lead its converts
to allow the Spirit of God to put sin to death in their lives and to resurrect
them with Christ to walking in his righteousness and holiness. It makes a
mockery of what Jesus did for us in dying for our sins, for it ignores the fact
that he died that we might die to sin and live to righteousness, and it gives
free license to lasciviousness, instead. So, part of our judgment, I believe,
will be the offspring, i.e. the natural consequences of these adulterous
relationships in which the church is engaged.
Repentance and
Restoration (vv. 14-15)
And
it will be said,
“Build
up, build up, prepare the way,
Remove
every obstacle out of the way of My people.”
For
thus says the high and exalted One
Who
lives forever, whose name is Holy,
“I
dwell on a high and holy place,
And
also with the contrite and lowly of spirit
In
order to revive the spirit of the lowly
And
to revive the heart of the contrite…
God’s purpose in divine judgment (discipline, correction)
has always been to revive his people so that he may renew and restore them to
proper fellowship with the Lord. In the book of Revelation we have recorded for
us Jesus’ letters to his church, many of which he confronted with sin, called
them to repentance, and warned of judgment. Yet, he also gave hope and
encouragement for those who overcame, i.e. for those who were victorious over
sin via repentance, submission to God, and via renewed walks of faith with
their Lord. Although God must discipline his children, he “disciplines us for
our good, so that we may share His holiness. All discipline for the moment
seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by
it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness” (Heb. 12:10b-11).
I believe America is already under the judgment of God, and
that we are presently beginning to see the signs of it, i.e. the signs of the
offspring of these unholy unions, i.e. of the church’s spiritual adultery. It
is coming back to bite the church. Yet, God is still calling out to his church
to repent of her adulteries, and to return to her first love, and to make him
her only Lord (master). Through repentance and renewed faith and commitment to
our Lord, the Lord will heal and revive his church and he will restore all
those who are contrite and humble in spirit toward him. And, he will guide them
in the way that they should go.
For Our Nation /
An Original Work / September 11, 2012
Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.
Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Men deceiving: we’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.
