The Rebellion

The Lord Jesus led me to read 2 Thessalonians 2 (Select vv. ESV).

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. vv. 1-4

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Vv. 9-12

The Government

For the past 13 years the Lord has been opening my eyes to see how these things are taking place in our day and time, i.e. the things which must take place before our Lord returns.

Wow! Where to begin? When the United States of America was created, it was created for a very specific purpose, and that was to bring in this rule of the beast. This is very obvious by the symbols on our national seal as well as by the layout of Washington, D.C., and the buildings and statues in our nation’s capital, which are patterned after Roman, Greek, and Egyptian gods and goddesses. Satan has his throne in these United States.

Although the US has been promoted as a “Christian” nation, founded on the principles of scripture, it really was, from the very onset, built on syncretism, “the combination of different forms of belief or practice” (M-W). Besides the obvious worship of foreign gods and goddesses, represented by our national symbols and our capital’s buildings and statues, the religion of “freemasonry” was central to the founding of our nation. And, it set the tone for what has now become a one-world religion, which is still in the making.

The US government is not the real government of this nation. A small group of the elite, wealthy and powerful of this world are the de facto government of the USA, and our leaders are merely puppets who serve them. This “shadow” government of the elite, alias “the beast,” is using these puppet leaders and our military to bring about the rule of the beast and the establishment of a New World Order (one-world totalitarian regime).

So, the US government and military, and their allies, have been going throughout the world, for some time now, conquering nations, peoples and Christians, raping and pillaging, murdering innocents, destroying property, confiscating natural resources, faking uprisings, faking terrorist attacks, creating false flags, and lying and deceiving the American people, and perhaps parts of the world, too (See: Rev. 13).

First they create the terrorism, or the uprising, for they are the world’s greatest terrorists, and then they blame others, and then they go into other nations, and even in our own, with a preconceived plan for how they are going to take over these nations and bring them all into submission to the beast. There are probably not many nations left who have not yet bowed to this beast, either by force, or by a choice of the will.

Global warming is a creation of this New World Order Beast as a cover for this forming of this New World Order. They have many covers, in fact. But, this beast has been forming this totalitarian one-world regime for some time now. And, they have done it through intimidation, threats, false flag operations, false terrorism, war, bombs, military coups, and destruction of land and governments and peoples, etc. This is the rebellion that has come, and that we are still seeing take place throughout the world.

The Temple

This man of lawlessness takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

So, what is the temple of God? It is the church, but not a physical building, or an institution of man, or a business, but the body of Christ, comprised of those who believe in Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior of their lives. So, how has this taken place in America? Most of the church, the body of Christ, chose to unite themselves with this government in an unholy union via the 501c3 not-for-profit tax exempt status. They did not need to do this, for they were already tax exempt. So, what this did is it put the government in the position of head over the church in place of Jesus Christ, thus this man of lawlessness has taken his seat in the temple of God, and has taken God’s rightful place as head of his church.

What this resulted in was the body of Christ was now incorporated underneath the headship of the US government, which means it was turned into a business of human-making, and in the vast majority of congregations, is marketed to the public just like any other human-based business. This is completely against God’s command that we not turn his “house of prayer” into a marketplace, i.e. a business, and it is also in direct opposition to the command of God that we should not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers (the ungodly), but that we are to come out from their midst so that we don’t share in her sins and in her punishment (See: 2 Co. 6:14-18).

So, now the “man of lawlessness” has taken his seat in the temple of God, i.e. the body of Christ, and has entered the sheep pen by another door, and has come in to steal, kill and to destroy (See: Jn. 10). And, the church has been on a spiritual decline ever since. So much of today’s church here in America (I don’t know about the church in other nations) has now gone the way of the world, and is using worldly and even sinful (sensual) means to attract the world to their gatherings, and to make the world “feel at home.”

Sin is running rampant within the church, but not in all congregations, and even the pastors of these churches are involved in sexual immorality, greed, abuse, misuse of people and resources and tithes and offerings, corruption, lying, cheating, stealing, and manipulation, etc. And, this is largely because they are following man’s methods for how to “build their churches,” i.e. their businesses. Thus, many of them will reject the scriptures in favor of man’s teachings because they want to build their earthly kingdoms rather than help build God’s eternal kingdom.

Because this is true, the gospel of Jesus Christ has taken a huge nose dive in many of these worldly churches, though, again, not every congregation has bowed the knee to this. From what I can tell, a very large percentage of today’s pastors and congregations have willfully diluted the gospel message to make it more appealing to human flesh and to make it non-offensive so that the world will come to their meetings, and will want to come back.

So, what they teach is a half-truth gospel absent of repentance and obedience and submission to Christ and walking in the fear of the Lord. They, instead, give people the idea that a mere repeating of words after someone else, or a mere acknowledgment of what Jesus did for us, is enough to suffice to secure heaven as our eternal destiny, while our lives can basically go on uninterrupted. And, this is why, I believe, so many Christians are living not much different from the world, i.e. from those who make no profession of faith in Christ at all. Thus, this is also a rebellion against God and the truths of his Word and against what he laid down in scripture as to how we, who profess the name of Jesus, should live.

We Must Understand

What we must understand here is that we are living in a period of great deception, both in the world, coming from world leaders and from the media, and in the church, coming from both church and world leaders. And, many are deceived, even within the church. So, we need to pray to God, and ask him to open our eyes to all the deception, and to show us what is truth, and then we need to follow the truth he shows us coming from his Word and that which is consistent with the teachings of scripture and prophecies of scripture. We should ask him how this is being realized in our world today.

The other thing we must understand here is how many have been deceived regarding the gospel of our salvation. We are not saved by mere words or by mere acknowledgment of Christ and of what he did for us, or even by mere acceptance of his forgiveness of sins, for forgiveness of sins only comes to the truly repentant and to the obedient (See: Lu. 9:23-25; Rom. 6:1-23; Rom. 8:1-17; Eph. 4:17-24; 1 Jn. 1:5-9; Gal. 5:19-21; Acts 26:16-18).

If we want to be assured of eternal life with God, both now, and forevermore, we need to die with Christ to sin and self and be resurrected with Christ to newness of life, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. We do this through submission to Christ and his cross, yielding our lives over to the Lord, leaving our lives of sin behind us, and turning to walk in obedience to the ways and will of God for our lives. This is not saying we will never sin again, but that sin should no longer be our master, i.e. what rules our lives, but now we should be walking according to the Spirit, and no longer live our lives to gratify the sinful cravings of our flesh.

And I will shake all nations; and the desire of all nations shall come.
